G'day it's Steven from Down Under Love The Goodies, I have since I was a little boy during the 70's. RIP Tim
What was tim actually reading I wonder ?
I have this on VHS!
It's paduck not padduck. odd mistakes.
They don't make shows like this anymore grew up on these guys funny also the Muppet show and mash .
Do you have the other episodes?
graeme gardener?🤣
Offenbach orpheus Strauss thunder and lightning Brahms Hungarian dance 5 Strauss Trisch Trasch ? Ponchielli dance of the hours Monti Czardas ? Suppe Offenbach
I watched the Goodies religiously in Australia during my Primary and High School years - I have the DVD's - you can laugh your troubles away.
Bill looked so comfortable under his tree! When the construction of The White Tower was being discussed, I was imagining him as one of the construction team getting it all together.
I like how Bill talks to Edd and the chimp - almost as if they were his children.
From one Bill to another...
But the sick trolls don't care saying that tim Brooke Taylor died from aids and I should say sorry to the family for getting his cause of death wrong and saying he was friends with my brother in law Trevor burrows and im jealous and you tube channels called tim Brooke burrows and burrows Brooke Taylor
I have fond memories of watching the original Call My Bluff with my grandparents, but this ... I think I lived abroad when it was first aired. Such were my feelings for the original, I made an effort to enjoy this - this is the second attempt, but dear me, I feel like I've turned inside out and my fingers and toes permanently set into claws. And as I write this, I suddenly exhale, and realise that I held my breath for the entire duration of the clip. Is there a collective noun for a celebrity panel that is so excruciatingly winsome that it makes you want to pluck out your eyeballs and ram knitting needles into your ear? A hubris of celebrities?
This is from the 10th September 1999, according to Genome.
Graeme Garden & Tim Brooke-Taylor on Call My Bluff pt. 1 2221pm 29.3.23 swayamvara - i hope he knows... jeeez. i think we get the picture...
I felt really tense, hovering on the precipice of shame, all the way through that. Thank God it was short.
I think he was nervous here too.
'You see fewer vedros these days than you used to.' Implying we should see more of them; more whipping of elephants?
I knew this existed, but I couldn't find the details on imdb. I do have a recollection of Tim and Cliff's closing song turning up in a kids' programme (possibly Witches' Brew with Audrey Jeans) backing a puppet routine. I remember the line 'Whoever heard of a motorboat, without water managing to float?'.
I noticed him rubbing his finger round the rim of the trophy - like the people running their fingers round the rim of the filled wineglasses at the start of Shine On You Crazy Diamond on David Gilmour's Live In Gdansk (I think)!
Is it just me? I think Sandy is more attractive now 14 years later.
Bill mentioning that he didn't like having friends over at his grandma's also puts me in mind of Andy Partridge (of XTC) mentioning how his mother wanted her house to be clean and so he wouldn't have friends over. The Goodies' spoof of the Flash commercials must have been him channelling that frustration!
Anyone surprised that Mavis didn't say "I don't really know!"🤔
Very good editing. That must have taken days!
1:02 - They should have buried him while they had the chance.
Thank you Yogi Bear.
Only just found this - great clips, thanks!
A flock of birds, a gaggle of geese and a lack of principals.
My dad was to one with £0 and 0 points 😖
And saying Tim Brooke Taylor was a friend of Trevor burrows by stupid brother in law who lives in burtle Somerset England. What rubbish and you tube channels called Tim Brooke burrows and burrows Brooke Taylor and Tim gaylor. Sick kids trolls on you tube OK sorry fans

@@jamescypler4599 Come on, he has 5 subscribers!
Yeah! Just like your jokes, boring and never funny. Cranky old b*d
Had that vid as a kid.
I love them!
It’s crazy to watch this, my uncle, mark look so young
Thing is, I’m sure bill was doing a nature abs science show for kids at the same time too.
Vic, trying too hard.
Depressing. I met Nick Frost many years ago and the experience was comparable to Bill, here. You think all these entertainers who make you laugh must be jolly people but really they come off as gritty and backed into a corner. It's taught me to just ignore celebrities once I meet them in person, avoid discovering what their temperaments are. Also, the paintings were good. The first one belongs in Rod Serling's Night Gallery.
Nick Frost has that reputation on most film and TV sets. Probably reason why he’s virtually unemployed now, by anyone but his mates, despite his early success.
I have no idea how this got into my RUclips feed but yes, the Goodies rule. Here in the states they were only broadcast on Saturday night at 1am ( technically Sunday morning ) back in the 70's and 80's so I'm probably one of four people in the US who knows how funny they were. Graham can sit there silently at this table with nothing more than a smirk and I'm already laughing because I know he's thinking of something that's going over everyone's head.
Love this!
I remember the day I realised that Bill Oddie was a nasty self opinionated puffed up little shite. It was before seeing this, but this only further offers proof and confirms the fact
Hey, I'm interested in restoring this series. Could I get ahold of your original interlaced VHS transfer, or the actual VHS? gilchristgarrett at gmail
Thank You....
What happened to the Don't Cry for Me Marg & Tina clip that used by be on RUclips?
